It looks as though the Going to the Sun rd will not be open in June when we have scheduled our visit. Can anyone advise if it is still worth going to GNP and if so, what sights would we be able to see. Thanks in advance.

On the west side their are plenty of hiking trails, lakes and boat rides. The east end has similar activities.

There is NO "trolley". There is a free shuttle system that goes ONLY runs the 48 mile length of the Going to the Sun Road....with marked stops all along the way. The shuttle only runs when the Going to the Sun Road has been opened for the season until shortly after Labor Day. The Shuttles or the GTTSR are not accessible usually until the very end of JUNE...all depending on the severity of the Winter Snow Pack WE get up here in the high country.
