“Happy Gilmore 2,” the newly released Netflix sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 golf comedy, is a lot like its star: A little bit flabbier, a little bit shabbier, but still undeniably funny after all these years.
"Happy Gilmore 2" releases on Netflix July 25, and the Adam Sandler-starring sequel is filled with familiar faces including Travis Kelce and Post Malone.
Sandler's wife Jackie, and daughters Sadie and Sunny all appear in "Happy Gilmore 2," a follow-up to the 1996 golf comedy film. The Sandler family stepped out together to celebrate the sequel at the world premiere of "Happy Gilmore 2" in New York on July 21.
Happy Gilmore 2 dropped on Netflix on July 25, 2025, nearly thirty years after the 1996 original. The film was helmed by Kyle Newacheck while Adam Sandler wrote the script with Tim Herlihy.
