The Bears have secured the return of linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga ahead of the start of free agency. Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Ogbongbemiga has agreed to a two-year deal with the team. The pact is worth $5 million.

The Bears on Thursday signed veteran linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga to a two-year contract extension.

The signing of Ogbongbemiga is the fifth move made by the Bears front office this week, as they traded for offensive linemen Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney to start the week, and then agreed to contracts with tight end Durham Smythe and retained Blackwell and Ogbongbemiga.
