Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs signed an executive order to fight cartels and drug trafficking. The joint task force will be dedicated to dismantle criminal syndicates and protecting Arizona's 370-mile southern border.

The task force will work to identify and reduce security vulnerabilities along the border and combat transnational criminal organizations.

The executive order states that the Arizona departments of public safety, homeland security and emergency affairs shall create a border task force.
