The sight for the Badgers football team Saturday afternoon was that of Nebraska fans flooding Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., listening to House of Pain's "Jump Around" and celebrating bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years. That came after the Badgers were crushed 44-25.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule spoke with the media following the Cornhuskers’ 44-25 blowout win over the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday. His program defeated the Badgers for the first time in 12 years, and captured the Freedom Trophy for the first time in its existence. From the opening kickoff, the Cornhuskers left little doubt.

Wisconsin will be without two starters, wide receiver Will Pauling and safety Hunter Wohler today against Nebraska on the road.

Wisconsin had its 10-game win streak over Nebraska snapped on Saturday, as it fell 44-25 in blowout fashion.

The Huskers had been 0-8 with bowl eligibility on the line under Matt Rhule. Wisconsin lost its fourth straight.

The Wisconsin Badgers (5-5, 3-4 Big Ten) will be without two of their star players when they battles Nebraska (5-5, 2-5 Big Ten) on Saturday. Those are safety Hunter Wohler and wide receiver Will Pauling. Both left the second half of the team’s Week 12 loss to Oregon with injuries. Neither was ready to return for Saturday’s matchup.
