Some flights continue to suffer delays after the airport's runway was shut for more than six hours on Wednesday.

In a fresh update, Birmingham Airport says its runway remains temporarily closed. It adds that "all persons onboard the aircraft have been discharged by West Midlands Ambulance Service". The airport apologises for the inconvenience caused to passengers, and advises them to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
