A person is dead after an officer-involved shooting near the 700 block of Fairmont Drive in Bloomington on Tuesday. According to Bloomington Officer Bryce Janssen, at approximately 4:45 p.m. officers were dispatched on a report of an armed person on the scene.

Illinois State Police are investigating the shooting death of a person in Bloomington by the city's police department. The Bloomington Police Department said that at 4:45 p.m., they received a call of an armed subject in the 700 block of Fairmount Drive at a local apartment complex.
