Boeing Co. agreed to sell its flight navigation unit and other digital assets to Thoma Bravo for $10.6 billion in cash, the first major portfolio transaction under Chief Executive Officer Kelly Ortberg as he seeks to shore up the planemaker’s finances.

Boeing has said it will sell Jeppesen, ForeFlight, and more to Thoma Bravo for $10.55B as it shifts focus to core aerospace and defense operations.

Buyout firm Thoma Bravo is in advanced talks to acquire Boeing's (NYSE:BA) Jeppesen navigation unit, with final bids valuing the unit at more than $8B and an announcement expected later this week, Bloomberg reported Monday.
