The Eagles used a sixth-round pick on McCord, a St. Joseph’s Prep grad who led the nation and set an ACC record in passing yards (4,779) while completing 66% of his passes. Thompson-Robinson has been underwhelming in limited playing time, and it’s hard to imagine he’s not fourth on the chart right now.

Why: McCord, at pick No. 181 overall, had an ACC record-setting season in 2024 for Syracuse after transferring from Ohio State. McCord threw for 4,779 yards last season, and should challenge Tanner McKee and Dorian Thompson-Robinson to serve as Jalen Hurts' backup. It's expected that McKee will have the inside track for the job, though.

The 2025 NFL draft is over, and the Eagles again dominated the board. They turned eight picks into 10 while landing the best linebacker and a dynamic safety capable of playing in the slot.

NEW YORK (AP) — Shedeur Sanders was not the only prospect to receive a prank call during the NFL draft. Kyle McCord, the former Syracuse quarterback who was taken by the Eagles last weekend, told Philadelphia-area media that someone tried to prank him while the draft was ongoing.

It was a day of false starts for Chase Lundt before the the real Bills general manager called to congratulate him.

Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Warren weren't the only ones getting prank calls during the NFL Draft. Philadelphia Eagles draft pick Kyle McCord said that he received several prank calls before finally being selected in the sixth round.
