The 2018 original Moana movie featured music written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (who also worked on the music for Encanto ). In addition to the movie's anthem "How Far I'll Go" there were also a number of other bangers in the soundtrack like "Where You Are" and Maui's song "You're Welcome." Unfortunately, the music for the sequel is far weaker.

Having rescued her people from famine by reversing an ancient curse on the goddess of nature, Moana (once again voiced by Auli’i Cravalho) has gone from being the eldest daughter of the island tribe’s leader to being,

"Moana 2" is an okay movie, an above-average kiddie roller-coaster, and a piece of pure product in a way that the first "Moana," at its best, transcended.
