But according to a new report from ESPN's Matt Miller, the Saints may not take a QB at No. 9 despite the need at the position. That's because internally, the Saints are reportedly high on the upside of second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler.

If there's a potential spoiler option, Dart could be gaining steam for New Orleans' decision-makers. The MMQB's Albert Breer said on Wednesday the Saints have done a "ton of homework" on Dart, but maybe later in the draft and not necessarily with the ninth pick.

Breer highlighted the fact former Saints coach Dennis Allen was a large reason Carr was brought to New Orleans in 2023 and Oakland in 2014. With Allen being fired in November and a new regime stepping in, the writing is on the wall for a fresh start brewing, and even rumors that Carr himself might want out of New Orleans.
