Shortly after the New York Giants reached an agreement with free-agent quarterback Jameis Winston, the NFL team did the same with free-agent quarterback Russell Wilson. Winston knew that was a possibility when he decided to join the Giants, who have overhauled their quarterback depth chart this offseason.

The majority of teams in the NFL will begin the offseason workout schedule either April 21 or 22, commencing Phase 1 of the program. Teams with new head coaches are permitted to begin offseason workouts a week or two before teams with returning head coaches.
The Giants added Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this year, so there isn't as much immediate urgency to add a quarterback. Rather, it could go with the veterans for the time being and perhaps look to draft a different signal-caller in 2026 or future seasons depending on how things unfold.
