Nintendo has delayed Switch 2 preorders in Canada, which were set to start on April 9th, according to a statement shared with MobileSyrup. Last week, the company delayed preorders in the US because of the potential impact of the Trump administration’s new tariffs.

A spokesperson for the company said in a statement the delay is for the purpose of aligning the timing with preorders in the U.S.

Nintendo Switch 2 troubles have been extended to our neighbors north of the border. Pre-orders for the highly-anticipated hybrid console have been delayed in Canada just before they were slated to begin.
