NORWALK — The first Wegmans grocery store in Connecticut may open sooner than expected . The company now says the store will open in the second quarter of 2025, meaning between April and June. Wegmans representatives previously said they aimed to open in the summer.

Grocery megachain Wegmans has announced plans to open three new stores next year, including its first location in Connecticut.The 92,000-square-foot supermarket will open at 675 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk during the summer of 2025.

Wegmans Food Markets plans to open its first store in Connecticut next year. According to the supermarket chain, the Norwalk store is slated to open in the second quarter of the year.
