The estranged husband of a woman convicted of killing three people​ with a meal laced with deadly mushrooms suspected his wife had been poisoning him before the fatal meal, an Australian court has heard.

Prosecutors wanted to use digital records showing Patterson's post on a Facebook group about her cat eating a poisonous mushroom - despite her not having one - in her trial

The mother-of-two was convicted of the murder of her estranged husband's, Simon Patterson, parents, Don and Gail Patterson, 70, and his aunt, Heather Wilkinson, 66. Ms Patterson was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Ian Wilkinson, Heather's husband in July.
