Apple's top executive in charge of artificial intelligence models, Ruoming Pang, is leaving the company for Meta Platforms , Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The tech world is buzzing with reports that Ruoming Pang, Apple's top artificial intelligence (AI) models executive, has defected to Meta Platforms, intensifying a fierce rivalry which is being dubbed as 'tech war' between the two giants.

Apple’s executive, Ruoming Pang, who was leading the company’s AI team, is set to join rival Meta Platforms, as per a report by Bloomberg. Pang was overseeing Apple’s foundation models team, which has about 100 employees contributing to the development of the company’s large language models.
