Even on the coast, there will likely be some snow, but temperatures will be closer to freezing and a southerly wind will kick up by Thursday morning. This will push the rain/snow line inland from the coast, especially in Maine's midcoast and eastern regions.

The storm is expected to reach its height between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and could bring 3 to 6 inches of snow to inland areas of the state.

By noontime, look for heavy rain in southern NH and beginning in southern Maine. Heavy snow is moving into the foothills of western Maine where temperatures are closer to that freezing mark. A defined rain-snow line will build and set-up on the west side of the I-95 corridor. Between 1PM and 8PM will be our worst travel times.
