It has been a little over two days since the brunt of the record-breaking atmospheric river faded over the North Bay. Yet, at least 19 roads in Sonoma County remain closed due to flooding, landslides or other storm hazards. These are the roads still closed, according to the Sonoma County Public Infrastructure roads division.

The tragic death of a man found in a vehicle submerged in flood water in Sonoma County over the weekend punches home the fact that it is never safe to drive into flood waters.

Parts of Sonoma County were hit by as much as 15 inches of rain, with Occidental getting more than 20 inches. Much of the runoff will make its way down to the Russian River from it massive 1500 square mile drainage area.
