SSR Mining has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine (CC&V) in Colorado, US, from Newmont Corporation. The deal, valued at $100m in upfront consideration with the potential for up to $175m in additional payments, is set to close in the first quarter of 2025.

SSR Mining Inc. (Nasdaq/TSX: SSRM; ASX: SSR) announced on Friday the acquisition of the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold mine (CC&V) in Colorado from Newmont (NYSE: NEM, TSX: NGT). With this acquisition, SSR is expected to become the third-largest gold miner in the United States.
