Thousands remain without power in NI after Storm Darragh
NIE Networks will open community assistance centres across Northern Ireland on Sunday as about 22,000 homes remain without power following Storm Darragh. Sustained gusts caused "extensive damage" on Saturday, leaving 48,000 homes without mains electricity, NIE said.
Storm Darragh leaves almost 400,000 without power in Ireland
Almost 400,000 customers have been left without power in Ireland after the country was battered by Storm Darragh. Parts of Ireland came under Met Eireann Status Red weather warnings for wind overnight while a Status Orange warning was due to expire at 10am. A Status Yellow warning is to remain in place until 3pm.

NIE Networks says power has been restored to nearly all of its customers following Storm Darragh. It said 15 customers still require more complex repairs but that "generators have been provided to ensure they have electricity until permanent fixes are completed".
