While there is a way for you to open two Excel workbooks at the same time, you can also open multiple spreadsheets in separate windows. Learn how!

If you launch multiple files by double-clicking their shortcut icons, or via the "Open" menu in Excel, the files will run simultaneously in one Excel window.

Open Excel, go to the File menu, click "Open" and locate your file. Hold down the "Shift" key while you click "Open," and continue holding it until the workbook finishes loading.

Microsoft Excel has an import wizard, but if you structure the text correctly, you can bypass the wizard altogether.
