Aston Martin returns to the premier class of endurance racing contesting both the World Endurance Championship and IMSA Sportscar Championship with its 6.5-litre V12 Valkyrie and the help of one Adrian Newey – can it prevail?

In IMSA, Heart of Racing will bring one blue Valkyrie driven by the former Aston Martin GT pairing of Roman de Angelis and Ross Gunn. Both drivers will fill the role of third drivers at Le Mans, with Gunn joining the all-English car with Tincknell and Gamble.

Aston Martin and the Heart of Racing team revealed their full driver lineup and the Valkyrie’s two liveries for the 2025 season on Tuesday. The factory effort will sport traditional British Racing Green in the FIA World Endurance Championship and a variation of THOR’s deep blue in the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship.

Because of regulations, the racing Valkyrie will have less power than the one you can drive on the road. Aston Martin’s confirmation that factory-backed Valkyries will compete in both the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the U.
