British no1 Jack Draper has clinched the biggest success of his career to date with the Indian Wells title. The 23-year-old beat Holger Rune 6-2 6-2 in a blistering performance that lasted just an hour and eight minutes. Draper, who beat Carlos Alcaraz in the last four, is set to rise to a career-high number seven in the world rankings on Monday.

Jack Draper upset Carlos Alcaraz on his favorite court in the world Saturday at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, sprinting to a lead and weathering an Alcaraz blitz, then holding it together and letting Alcaraz play just loose enough to give him the opening to break the Spanish champion who had not lost here in nearly three years.
