The Hoosiers beat Penn State 83-78 on Wednesday night for its second straight win and third win in their last four games. They played inspired basketball in the second half just as they did in an upset victory over Purdue and slammed the door on PSU in impressive fashion.

If Indiana wins two more games, it will avoid the first day of the Big Ten Tournament. If it doesn’t, the Hoosiers will have to play on day one.

Penn State comes into the game on a two game win streak that accounts for almost half of the team's five Big Ten wins. At 5-12 in conference play, the Nittany Lions are currently 17th in the Big Ten Standings and at risk of missing the Big Ten Tournament.
