Four fathers are being praised as heroes after apprehending an active shooter at a band competition at Pasadena Memorial High School in East Texas.

A parent tackled a man who opened fire during a band competition at a Houston-area high school and several other people then helped disarm and detain him, in a shooting that wounded one person, officials said.

An elderly gunman opened fire at a Texas high school band competition over the weekend, leaving one person wounded. However, a parent tackled them and others helped disarm and detain the suspect.
