Rose-Tu, the zoo’s beloved Asian elephant, is 20 months pregnant, meaning the arrival of Portland’s first gray, trunked baby in more than a decade may not be so far away.

Rose-Tu is a member of the Oregon Zoo's famous Asian elephant family. This calf will be her third, coming after the devastating death of her 6-year-old calf, Lily, in 2018.
