SSRM has announced that it has signed a definitive purchase agreement with Newmont Corporation NEM to acquire the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine (CC&V) in Colorado. This deal will add a high-quality producing asset in a Tier-1 jurisdiction to SSR Mining’s portfolio.

Newmont (TSX:NGT,NYSE:NEM) announced the sale of its Cripple Creek & Victor mine in Colorado, US, to SSR Mining (TSX:SSRM,NASDAQ:SSRM) for up to US$275 million, continuing its ongoing restructuring efforts.

SSR Mining ( SSRM) said Friday it agreed to acquire the Cripple Creek and Victor gold mine in Colorado from Newmont ( NYSE: NEM) for $100M in upfront consideration and up to $175M in additional milestone-based payments.
