The Davis Cup tie between Belgium and Chile descended into chaos after a Belgian player won his match despite shoulder charging his opponent, who pleaded for the match to be stopped.

In the third set of the match, Bergs broke Garin’s serve with a brilliant forehand pass to go up 6-5 and serve for the match. He sprinted to the net in celebration and leapt up into the air, just as his opponent was crossing over to return to his seat.

Garin was given three consecutive time violations and lost the match while he was calling for his opponent to be disqualified.
