Wegmans Food Markets plans to open its first store in Connecticut next year. According to the supermarket chain, the Norwalk store is slated to open in the second quarter of the year.

NORWALK, CT (WFSB) - A popular supermarket chain is set to open a location in Connecticut. Wegmans announced that it planned to open a store in Norwalk during the second quarter of 2025. It said the 92,000 square foot store will include 13 full service and 15 self-checkout registers, and Market Cafe features.

Grocery megachain Wegmans has announced plans to open three new stores next year, including its first location in Connecticut.The 92,000-square-foot supermarket will open at 675 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk during the summer of 2025.

The first Wegmans grocery store in Connecticut may open sooner than expected . The company now says the store will open in the second quarter of 2025, meaning between April and June. Wegmans representatives previously said they aimed to open in the summer.
