The York County Coroner's Office has released the results of the autopsy for slain West York Police Officer Andrew Duarte.

WEST YORK, Pa. — On Tuesday, West York Borough Police Chief Matthew Millsaps paid tribute to Officer Andrew Duarte, who was killed in the line of duty on Saturday while responding to a gunman at UPMC Memorial Hospital in West Manchester Township.

West York Borough Police Officer Andrew Duarte was killed in the line of duty during an active shooter incident at UPMC Memorial Hospital on February 22, 2025. Duarte had served with the West York Borough Police Department since June 2022, after previously serving with the Denver Police Department for five years.

Businesses in the community have planned several fundraisers to help raise funds for the family of West York officer Andrew Duarte.
