Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki are the likely starting pitchers for the Los Angeles Dodgers when they face the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo next month, according to manager Dave Roberts. The two Japanese pitchers along with two-way star Shohei Ohtani  will be the main attraction for Japanese fans during the two MLB games on March 18 and 19.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager indicated that Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaski will start the two games against the Chicago Cubs in Japan.

It has already been announced that the pitching matchup for the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers Opening Day game will feature Shota Imanaga and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The pitching matchup for the second game of the series is now all but set.

The Los Angeles Dodgers open Cactus League play on Thursday against the Chicago Cubs. Just about one month later, they’ll open the regular season in Japan, also against the Cubs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be on the mound to start each game.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has plenty of options to choose from when determining who will start in Tokyo when they play the Cubs, including two Japan natives.
