Jaxson Robinson scored 22 points to lead No. 8 Kentucky to an 81-69 victory over 11th-ranked Texas A&M on Tuesday night.

A trio of clutch blocks in the final two minutes helped Texas A&M women’s basketball pick up its highest ranked win in the Joni Taylor era, 61-55 over No. 11 Kentucky at Reed Arena.

Kentucky has started SEC play off hot, to say the least, but the Cats were set to square off against the upset-capable Texas A&M Aggies. They knocked off then No. 25 Ole Miss at home on January 5th, but they’ve also suffered some really bad losses along the way.

Cincere Johnson has narrowed his choice down to four SEC schools as well as both schools that recently competed in the national championship this year.

Vandy will get another opportunity to slow down a high-octane offense against the Wildcats, who are averaging 89.2 points per game, second in the nation behind Alabama. Kentucky ranks first in the SEC in field goals made per game (31.2), three-point baskets per game (10.2) and assists per game (18.7).

Teonni Key scored a career high 20 points, but the 11 th -ranked Kentucky women’s basketball team lost at Texas A&M 61-55 on Thursday night.

Both teams are 13-3 on the season and 2-1 in SEC play, but Kentucky enters the matchup coming off a win over Mississippi State while Texas A&M lost to Alabama in its most recent matchup.

Aicha Coulibaly scored 21 points, Sole Williams and Erica Moon had their only baskets in a late 11-1 run and Texas A&M beat No. 11 Kentucky 61-55.
