Fabrics giant Joann is closing, and the store has stopped taking gift cards — upsetting many customers. Here’s what shoppers should know.

As the going-out-of-business sales continue, however, Joann has announced that they will no longer be accepting gift cards sold by the company. The policy to no longer accept the gift cards into effect on Feb. 28, which follows soon after the Feb. 25 announcement that every store would be closing.
