Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in Jordan on Wednesday, his third foreign visit since taking office, while Israeli airstrikes targeted military positions in Syria.

The president of Syria arrived in Jordan after a night of confusion in southern Syria as locals reported Israeli airstrikes.

Jordan's King Abdullah told Syria's interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa after a meeting in Amman on Wednesday he condemned Israeli attacks on Syria, a palace statement said.
