CA chief executive Todd Greenberg expressed "disappointment" that the final could not be played at Adelaide Oval

Cricket Australia has expressed its disappointment that Australian Rules team the Adelaide Crows refused South Australia permission to host the Sheffield Shield final at Adelaide Oval later this month.

Cricket Australia was pushing for the Shield final to be played at Adelaide Oval from March 24-28 but AFL did not give in to the requests.

Discussions have been held between SA's premier and the Australian Football League to have the game played at Adelaide Oval in the week between football fixtures | ESPN.com
