A four-year-old child has been discharged from Harborview Medical Center after a mountain lion attack over the weekend.

The four-year-old child mauled by a collared cougar at Olympic National Park this weekend has been released from the hospital, officials confirmed Tuesday.

“Timed or motion sensor alarms with flashing lights, loud noises and sprinklers may work on mountain lions, and can also provide an added bonus of scaring other pesky neighbors who show up uninvited,” the Mountain Lion Foundation said.
