WASHINGTON (7News) — A military parade celebrated the Army's 250th in Washington D.C., with thousands of people in attendance. Aside from the parade, there was also concert and fireworks as part of the celebration. The celebration also coincides with President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday, National Flag Day, and the Army’s 250th anniversary.

From Silver Spring and Bethesda and Gaithersburg in Maryland, to Fairfax and Falls Church and Arlington in Virginia, people throughout the region came out for “ No Kings Day of Defiiance ” protests. (There was not a “No Kings” protest in DC itself, but there was a march from Logan Circle to the White House organized by Refuse Fascism .)

WASHINGTON - U.S. Park Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in Anacostia Park Saturday night. USPP says the shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of Anacostia Drive, SE. An adult female was shot and medevaced to the hospital unconscious but breathing, police say.
