The Red Wings (30-22-6, 66 points) battled back from a two-goal deficit in the first period and have earned five of a possible six points in three games after the 4 Nations Face-Off break. They maintained their top wild card position in the Eastern Conference.

Simon Edvinsson pinged a slap shot off the far post for his second goal of the game with 8:25 remaining to finish a rally by the Detroit Red Wings for a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
