Michigan football running back Donovan Edwards 'questionable' to return after suffering injury in first half vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

Intentional or not, Donovan Edwards seemed to be going out of his way Tuesday to avoid providing the arch rival any bulletin board material. Michigan’s senior running back, usually gregarious and outspoken,

‘Big Game Don’ showed up against Penn State, but most visibly at Ohio State when Blake Corum was unable to do more than give it a go after injuring his knee. Edwards famously rattled off a 75-yard touchdown followed by an 85-yard touchdown late in The Game in Columbus, propelling Michigan to a 45-23 victory.

Edwards was a sophomore in 2022 and lead back Blake Corum had run himself into Heisman Trophy contention until suffering a knee injury in the final home game of the season. He tried to play at Ohio State but after two plays realized he could not continue. Edwards had to shoulder the rushing duties.

Donovan Edwards hasn't had the individual season he'd hoped for Michigan football. Perhaps, a return to where his rise to stardom began can change it.

Michigan's Donovan Edwards appears to have had a change of heart when it comes to his school's biggest rival. In the past, the Wolverines running back was caught saying: "We ain't ever losing to Ohio State.
