The shower forms from the debris of an asteroid and peaks this weekend. But a nearly full moon could interfere with viewing.

Thankfully, the Geminids can be seen across the globe, even down here in Florida. The best times to see them are during the night and predawn hours when it's darkest outside. The shower typically starts around 9 or 10 p.m.

There are three meteor showers left this year. Geminids will peak Dec. 13 and 14, producing up to 150 meteors per hour.
