SAN FRANCISCO - Injured Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler III was ruled out for Game 3 against the Houston Rockets on Saturday at Chase Center after he suffered a pelvic contusion in the previous game of the best-of-seven NBA playoff series.

Butler averaged 17.9 points, 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds in 30 regular season games for the Warriors after coming over in a deadline trade from the Miami Heat. He scored 25 points in Golden State's Game 1 victory and had chipped in three points before exiting Wednesday's matchup.

Warriors forward Jimmy Butler left Wednesday's game against the Rockets after suffering a hard fall to the court. He's listed as questionable.
