McDonald's promised not to add surcharges for items that include eggs amid a nationwide surcharge that has led some other restaurants to charge more.

In another exciting bit of Golden Arches news, the chain has finally made its beloved Bagel Sandwiches available at restaurants nationwide. “Whether you love the classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese or the iconic Steak, Egg & Cheese, McDonald’s has you covered, no matter where you are,” the company said in a press release.

You can celebrate National Egg McMuffin Day on Sunday, March 2. The Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin with Egg are only $1 when you purchase the breakfast sandwiches through the McDonald’s App. McDonald’s said you must opt into rewards for this promotion.

McDonald's said on Tuesday it would not impose any surcharges when serving eggs as part of its meals and will also launch $1 McMuffins on its app, in a move to attract consumers in the United States.
