On Monday night, one night after the end of the largest manhunt in our Minnesota history, Brooklyn Park and Champlin community members had an opportunity to let their guards down.

SUSPECT CAPTURED: Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shootings of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, as well as the woundings of another lawmaker and his wife, has been captured.

Authorities have taken a man into custody and charged him in the targeted shootings of Minnesota lawmakers Rep. Melissa Hortman and Sen. John Hoffman. Hortman and her husband were fatally shot at their home in Brooklyn Park early Saturday morning,

State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed and State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot and wounded in “targeted shootings” in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, two neighboring suburban cities 10 to 20 miles outside Minneapolis.
