The resurgent Hindu nationalist party of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is eyeing a state legislature election in Delhi where it is looking to unseat the governing movement which has led the Indian capital for over a decade but has recently been embroiled in graft allegations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party in the run-up to the Assembly elections and said that the “mask of the AAPda party” is off now.He said that February 5 will bring a change in Delhi and a double-engine government will be formed in the city on February 8 when the results are out.

U.S. President Donald Trump has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the White House next week, a White House official said, hours after a U.S. military plane departed to return deported migrants to the country.

A US military plane is deporting migrants to India, the farthest destination of military transport flights for migrants. Trump has increasingly turned to the military for his immigration agenda, including deporting migrants with military aircraft.
