Boston celebrated its Centennial, with Sunday’s game taking place exactly 100 years after their first game in franchise history, a 2-1 win against the Montreal Maroons on Dec. 1, 1924. The Bruins held a pregame ceremony that featured tribute videos and appearances from franchise legends such as Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Patrice Bergeron and more.

Charlie McAvoy scored two goals - one coming when Boston scored three times in 70 seconds during the opening period - and the Bruins celebrated the 100th anniversary of their first NHL game with a 6-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday.

The Bruins will host an hour-long ceremony to commemorate their centennial before puck drop at the Garden on Sunday.
