PFL Africa 1 will be in Cape Town, South Africa on July 19. The prelims start at 10 a.m. ET. The main card starts at 2 p.m. ET, while the main event should begin around 5:30 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

Costello van Steenis submitted Johnny Eblen in the final seconds of their main-event bout Saturday to capture the PFL championship.

Not only did he become PFL middleweight champion, van Steenis (17-3) did so in improbable fashion when he submitted Johnny Eblen with nine seconds left in their five-round bout. The stoppage came at 4:51 of Round 5.
