Kyle Schwarber homered in the first inning for the second consecutive game, Max Kepler and J.T. Realmuto also went deep, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 7-2 on Wednesday night.

The Phillies notched a fourth straight win Wednesday and had a much smoother night than their series opener vs. the Nationals.

The Nationals-Phillies game heading into Tuesday night looked like it would be a good one. After all, it was pitting Nationals up-and-coming ace MacKenzie Gore against Phillies veteran and workhorse ace Zack Wheeler. It would end up with a wild ending that made most people forget about the starters.
