Tottenham have bolstered their midfield ahead of a return to the Champions League by signing Portugal international João Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to make the move permanent.

Tottenham have signed Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha on a season-long loan deal. The 30-year-old, who joined the German side from Fulham in 2024, was limited to just 17 Bundesliga appearances last season.

The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent for €30million (£25.9m, $34.2m) at the end of the season.
