George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston has issued a ground delay through 11 p.m. due to anticipated severe thunderstorms, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The delay follows the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center placed much of Southeast Texas under an enhanced risk of severe weather and issued storm and tornado warnings on Friday.

Storms containing large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado will be possible with the threats lasting into the evening.

Isolated strong storms are possible between 4 pm and 10 pm today. Numerous strong storms are possible late Saturday

The 22News Storm Team issued a Weather Alert for some strong to potentially severe thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon.

The Pittsburgh area is bracing for another round of strong to severe storms on Friday. Moist and unstable air will continue to flow north ahead of a cold front moving in from the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest states.

There's a Level 2 out of 5 threat for strong storms late Friday morning into the afternoon. Make sure to have the umbrella. It's a mild start to the day with passing clouds. Isolated showers this morning will pick up starting around late morning into the afternoon.

National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Frazier tells The Big K Morning show that the timing will be similar to the dangerous storms that came through the area on Tuesday, but are not expected to be as strong.
