Maryland politicians are weighing in on the national debate over mid-decade redistricting, as states propose plans to give parties in power more congressional seats ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and California legislative and congressional members stood with Texas state lawmakers in their opposition to President Trump's plan to redraw voting maps to hold onto power in the midterm election.
